Week of Sept 26th

Mon- ALl classes have been given a current events for homework due Friday. AC classes are to include a three paragraph essay with their articles. Instructions are attached:

AC- AMazing Race through Georgia in pairs- Students will read a primary source journaling De Soto's travels as they trace his route and answer questions about his exporations.

Gen Ed- FInish map of DeSOto's travels to be turned in.

Tues- Short film on DeSoto with quesitons , begin study of Spanish Missions in Ga.

Wed-Thurs- Students will all complete a study guide and review for Prehistory through Exploration test next Mon. (This has been moved back from Fri)

Fri- Turn in Current events, peer grade and grade all notebooks. Review for test Mon.

 

9-19 to 9-23

Mon- All classes will be in the computer lab with our counselor, Dr. Deane to complete "Career Cruising"

Homework for the week WILL BE GIVEN OUT and is a guided reading from CH 4, Sect 1. This will be due FRIDAY 9-23.

Tues- Fri- Prehistory through European Exploration. Students will use graphic organizers, readings/questions to complete the elements of this week's standards. Mr. Howard and Ms. Cronin will help make sure all students receive the instruction this week.

Prehistory-Exploration test is SEPT. 30th.

Week of September 12

All Unit 1 tests are graded and in Pinnacle. Many students did poorly on this first test, so if you are unhappy with your grade, you will be able to retest and average the grades this Wed during lunch. You will need to get your lunch abd hurry to my room as you will have 25 minutes to retest.

Monday- "LET'S TALK HISTORY " powerpoint notes-

Tuesday- Vocab quiz- Check the vocabulary words on the back of your standards graphic organizer .

Wed-Thurs- We will use a powerpoint to create a chart of the 4 prehistoric cultures in Georgia.

Fri-Guided Reading on Prehistoric Georgia

(At the time of this entry, our network prevents me from downloading the work assigned. I will enter this at a later date, but in the meantime, students may come to me for any papers they need.)

Tues 9-6

Today is our Unit 1 test. I will try to have these back before the end of the week.

All students received their homework for the week which were CH 3 questions Worksheet.
