Wednesday students will complete the Regions Flipbook in class. They will start on the study guide & finish for homework. We will review Friday for our TEST on Tuesday. WE will make sure that everyone has correct answers to study with this weekend!

All Current Events are due Friday!

 

Aug 29-30

Monday & Tuesday we will be working on the 5 regions of Georgia. Students will make a flipbook in class to describe & illustrate each region.

AC CLasses- Students will work with the 5 regions on Georgia by choosing to create a flipbook or a creative writing assignment.

WELCOME TO GEORGIA STUDIES

Welcome to 8th grade Georgia History!

My name is Mary Jane Shaw & I will be your student's Georgia Studies teacher. I look forward to working with your child and hope we have a productive year learning about the history of our state & nation. Feel free to e-mail me anytime at maryjane.shaw@cobbk12.org.

 

Some basics about our class:

 

Students will be using class sets of our textbook, but if a student needs to have a text to keep at home, there are several options. First our textbook is online. I t can be accessed at:

www.mystatehistory.com   password is ga11hist.

We also have the text on CD that may be checked out, or I can issue a hardbound copy of the book.

 

Notebooks:

Students will need:

2” Binder

Plenty of notebook paper

Divider

Flashdrive

Red & blue (or black ) pen & pencils

Colored pencils
