Today in class we reviewed noun practice homework and students continued presenting book talks.  There is no homework for tonight.

Today in class students presented book talks and several students shared their parts of speech projects with the class using the LCD projector.  No homework.

Today in class we completed the parts of speech flipbooks/scrapbooks and students who had their syllabus signed turned in their signatures.  Homework is to complete noun practice sheets and these are due tomorrow.  Students should be bringing their summer reading book talks over the next few days so that they can continue presenting or begin presenting these. Some classes have already started the presentations.

Today in class students shared book talks and received grades for their oral presentations.  We will continue with the presentations tomorrow.

Today in class students participated in library orientations and were given time to check out self-selected reading books. They should be bringing these to class everyday. Most students have completed their parts of speech projects and have turned them in.  Anyone who has not turned this in must have it in by Monday at the beginning of class. Students will begin sharing book talks on Monday for summer reading.  Syllabi should be back signed Monday.  Have a great weekend.

Today all classes participated in their library orientation and were given the opportunity to check out self-selected reading books. They should be bringing them to class everyday.  We will continue with book talks on Monday and will finish parts of speech projects. Students should have syllabi signed by Monday.  Have a great weekend!

In Ac Language Arts today students received their syllabi and need to return them signed by Monday.  Students also finished parts of speech projects and will be going to library orientation tomorrow.  Bring agendas for barcoding.  Summer reading book talks will begin Monday.

Today in class students recevied their Language Arts syllabus for signature by Monday. Please cut and sign the slip at the bottom and return. Students continued with their study of parts of speech by completing Cornell Notes to help them summarize their learning so far through their parts speech projects and from prior knowledge. We will add more information to the Cornell Notes early next week.  Students completed a 3-2-1 summary as a closure to the lesson. Students should be preparing their summer reading book talks and library orientation will be Friday. Third period will begin book talks tomorrow (Thursday).

Welcome to 7th Grade Language Arts!  We have been busy learning procedures and expectations for class this year and making acrostics of our names.  Students will receive class syllabi tomorrow and are working currently on a computer-based project reviewing the parts of speech in preparation for reading and writing tasks for the first nine weeks.  Students who have not completed summer reading already are working on this and are preparing their book talks for presentation in class later this week.  Students will be visiting the media center on Friday for their library orientation so that they may begin checking out books.  Please check the homework hotline and student agendas each night for announcements, homework, and upcoming assignments of importance.  We are going to have a fantastic year!
