Week of April 18, 2011

Last week was a good start to our success on this year's CRCT scores. This week we finish the CRCT on Monday by taking the Social Studies portion. Please make sure your child is on time to school and gets a good breakfast so they will be ready to do well.

Week of April 11, 2011

We hope you and your family had some good time with each other during Spring Break. Our week back holds much in store for our students. On Monday our students will have a CRCT peprally to prepare for the test which starts Tuesday. Thank you for encouraging your student to use USA Test Prep during the break and throughout the school year to support their individual needs. We are hoping to see better results with our students in numbers and operations, algebra, and grammar and sentence construction. Much work at the school has occurred with the students in these areas. Coupled with the work you have done with your child at home and the work the teachers have done at school, I am confident we will see increases in these areas. This week is our time to really showcase our school's great academic strengths and to let each of our students demonstrate their mastery of the standards.

Please make sure that your student gets plenty of rest each night and has a good breakfast each morning. Also,please ensure they are not late to school during this week. We need all our students here this week and Monday of the next week due to testing. Encourage them to do their best as their performance on the CRCT  helps determine what classes students will have in the future. As always, don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the CRCT and your child's education at our school.

Spring Break and CRCT

Parents, don't forget school will be closed all of next week for Spring Break. The school will re-open on Monday, April 11th. If you are traveling, please be careful. We hope you and your family have an enjoyable time.

Also, don't forget the CRCT will be starting on Tuesday, April 12th. So, if your student has any down time over the break be sure to encourage them to go to our website and access USA Test Prep for some practice. In particular, be sure to encourage them to work on numbers and operations, algebra, and grammar and sentence construction. These are areas of growth for our students.
