Welcome Back!

This year Mrs. Ehlers will be teaching Social Studies Literacy and Georgia Studies!  This blog will contain information and assignments for both classes.

Social Studies Literacy

Week One

1. Getting to know you as a reader...Draw a picture of yourself reading.  Include at least five thought clouds that tell me what you think about while you read.  Be creative!

2. Introduction of the four essential reading skills.  See Mrs. Ehlers for the reading and the graphic organizer.

3. Reader's Handbook Scavenger Hunt.  See Mrs. Ehlers for assignment.

Week Two

1. Complete pages 2-10 in the Reader's Journey as a class.

2. Read "The Vision of Maya Ying Lin" as a class.  Complete page 15 on your own. 

3. Set up Reader's Journal and begin anchor book for Unit One.
