Georgia Studies: Week of April 20th-24th

2. Students work on GA After Reconstruction board game

3. Work time in class to complete and submit past due class, assessment, and vocabulary assignments.

Georgia Studies 3/23-3/27

Students will continue to work on the "ABC's" of the Civil War.

Language Arts 3/23 to 3/27

Students will review phrases (prepositonal, infinitives, gerund, participle and appositives).

Homework: Workbook pages 75-84.

We began our unit on response to literature. Students will read multiple texts and then craft responses based on the text. The majority of the assignments will be completed in class. However, if your student is unable to complete an activity during class, then he/she may complete the assignment at home.

Lanuguage Arts for the week of 3/16 to 3/20

Homework: Workbook pages 59-68 (the odd problems only) are due 3/16 or 3/17. Pages 73 and 74(all problems) are due on 3/18 or 3/19.

Students will take a test on the four complements: direct objects, indirect objects, predicate nominatives, and predicate adjectives on 3/16 or 3/17.

Students will begin a brief review of prepostions and prepositional phrases. Students will take a "NO EXCUSE" preposition test on 3/23 or 3/24. The students will have a list of prepositions to study from.

Georgia Studies for the week of 3/16 to 3/20

Students will begin to research the major people, places, and events of the Antebellum period, the Civil War, and Reconstruction. Each student will present his/her research in the form of an ABC book. We will spend 3 days in the media center completing the internet research. The students will not have any tests this week.
