UNIT 2 TEST WILL BE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7TH.

HELP SESSION THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER28.

Monday:  Assignment - Exponent handout.  Quiz on exponents Friday, Sept. 30.

Tuesday:  Exponent Mission task completed in class.  Assignment - textbook pages 177&178, 21-32 and

37-48.

Wednesday:  Assignment - Complete Scientific Notation handout if not completed in class.  Quiz on Exponents Friday.

Friday:  Take Quiz. Assignment - pages 198&199, 9-31 and number 32.  Unit 2 test - Friday, Oct. 7.

Week of Sept. 19

Monday:  There is not assignment.  There will be a help session Wednesday morning at 8:15 and a quiz Friday on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing radicals.

Tuesday:  Assignment - a multiplication and division of radicals handout

Wednesday/Thursday:  Assignment - handout on rationalizing the denominator.

Friday:  Quiz (see Monday) Assignment - Textbook pages 172 and 173, 25-36 and 41-45.

Week of Sept. 12

The 4 1/2 week period for progress reports ends this week.  All classes will be taking a quiz on square roots on Wednesday/Thursday that will count on the progress report grades.

Monday:  No assignment. Quiz Wed./Thurs. on textbook pages 182-194. 

Tuesday:  Assignment - Handout on number sets.  Students need to bring their Worktext workbooks to class Wednesday - Friday.

Wednesday/Thursday:  Quiz.  Assignment - Handouts on simplifying radicals and adding and subtracting radicals. 

Friday:  Assignment - Handout on multiplying and dividing radicals.

Week of September 5

Tuesday;  In class we will be reviewing for the Unit 1 test which is being given on Wednesday and Thursday.  The students' only homework is to study for the test.

Wednesday/Thursday:  The first 1/2 of the period we will take the unit test.  Then we will begin Unit 2 which is on square roots, exponents and the Pythagorean Theorem.  The assignment is pages 184 7 185,  27 - 47, omitting 36.

Friday:  The assignment is pages 188 & 189 23 - 28, 35, 40 and 46 - 49.
