Homework: Complete the worksheet for Chapter 10 section 2, Rates of Weathering, don't forget about the back, review of Chapter 10 section 1.

Vocabulary quiz: over the chapter 10 vocab Friday, Oct 28th

Test: Tuesday Nov 1st, over all of chapter 10.

Chapter 10 sections 3 notes: Download 2011 soil horizons

Yesterday and today the students had a great time with the lab activity. After learning about the soil horizons, the students used cereal to represent each layer. They had to justify each layer. The students like the fact they could eat the cereal afterwards.

I would like to thank all the parents that sent in the cereal and any other supplies. Without your help, we would not have had as much fun!

Monday Oct 10th

Unit test over chapter 3 and 4 Tuesday for 1st, 3rd, and 5th pds.

Unit test over chapter 3 and 4 Wednesday for 2nd and 4th pds.

Next chapter we will study is Chapter 10, Weathering and Erosion.

We need volunteers to bring in boxes of cereal.

 Cocoa puffs, Lucky charms, cheerios, cinnamon toast crunch, and oreo cookies

  These can be the generic brands. I will need at least 2 boxes of each type per class.

Monday Oct 3rd

Homework all classes: answer all the questions on the study guide for Chapter 4

Test: Chapter 4, 1st, 3rd, and 5th pd -  Wednesday

 2nd, and 4th pd - Thursday

Table of Contents will be collected on the day of your test. Make sure the green sheet is filled out and all papers are in order.

This Friday, the current event journals will be collected for a grade. You should have 5 current events with the article and your summaries. Look through your journal and make corrections.
