The first week of school was exciting. I am looking forward to getting to know all the students in my classroom. Last week, we completed a lab activity, Fruit Float, where the students made predictions about their fruit or vegetable. Would they sink or float? This lab was an introduction to density. This week we are expanding on the same concept by having 6 stations where an item either sinks or floats. The students used observation and inferencing skills.
At the beginning of the week we talked about goals. The students drew a picture of themselves in the future of what they would do and a plan to accomplish this goal.
