Congratulations! If you are reading this while in class during 2nd or 7th periods that means you studied enough to show mastery of the Ecology standards. Today, while some students continue to learn Ecology, you have several things to do on the computers. The most important thing about your class work today is that it is totally independent. You should not need to ask the teachers any questions because they will be very busy with the other group.
Task 1: Check your grades. If you do not have your pinnacle log-in on page 19 of your agenda or you do not have it memorized. Go to the next task.
Task 2. Check your Ecology notebook. You should have turned in the Owl Pellet Lab, the Word Wise, the Ecology Vocabulary page and the Computer lab from October 17. If those are in your notebook, you need to finish them and turn them in. I did return the Word Wise worksheets that were turned in on time. You should have a check on that if it was done on time.
Task 3: Go to USA test prep or start to research a Science Fair Experiment. USA test prep - Your lunch number is your log-in and your password. The school site is written on the white board (you should write this in your agenda too, first page 19). Play any game using the Ecology standard: interdependance of life. In December, all students will have to design a Science fair esperiment. You do not have to do the Science Fair, but you may want to. If you would rather research a Science Fair experiment today, scroll down the blog page, fo to next at the bottom and go to some of those links. You should open a word document and write down any ideas you have and save any website URL addresses you might want to go back to again. The teachers will not have time for you to tell us your ideas today; write them down for discussion later. As usual, make sure that you are saving that word document on your lunch number (save as, click on your log-in). Remember - the goal for your part of the class period is to work SILENTLY with no teacher intervention. If you are talking you will receive consequences.
